A new home for a rural landscape lot in Ellalong — a large, vacant block where the site itself sets the brief. The design settles the home into the land rather than imposing on it, keeping earthworks and clearing to a minimum in keeping with the rural character the zoning protects.

Long, simple gabled forms in dark cladding and brick give the home a quiet, agricultural character, while generous glazing opens the living spaces to the outlook and the light. It's a contemporary rural home designed to belong to its setting rather than stand apart from it.
